I’m working on a large (A2) acrylic painting at the moment based on a quick blind sketch I did at church yesterday. I worked quite fast and, with opportunity afforded by the scale, from the shoulder rather than the wrist, and was quite pleased with the result. The challenge is that this takes up most of my painting desk and so everything else gets balanced rather precariously.
Spill? Yup, the dirty water pot while I was trying to clean off one of my mixing tiles. Fortunately, it was dirty water rather than rich paint and I think I’ve got it all cleaned up. However, I’ll either have to work smaller or make sure I move to a different space to do the clean up… or figure out how to enlarge my painting space.
