The weather during March has often been wintry but spring will out. Here is the current state of my back garden:
On first glance, there doesn’t seem to be much different from February:
Look again and the most obvious change is the pruning of the red, green and purple stems of the dogwood (Cornus) plants in front of the polytunnel. However, look more closely and there are plenty of small changes – buds on the Malus trilobata (just behind the bird feeder on the right) and hyacinths (bottom left) in full bloom. No matter the weather, spring is here.
