Yesterday was the ‘fall back’ clock change and, yesterday, it meant an extra hour in bed. Today it meant that getting up reasonably early was easier than normal. Tonight it will probably mean a lot of cyclists taking chances with being under-illuminated as the earlier descent of darkness catches them unawares.

I’ve been thinking about my bike lights more for a week or two and have used them a couple of days, when leaving work a little later than normal on dull days. However, we’re now in the season where I’ll need them every evening on the way home. Over the past few years, I’ve moved away from depending on disposable batteries and my main lights are now USB charged. This is great but it does mean you need to remember to keep them topped up.
