Last night, when Magnus was staying, he came along to a String Project rehearsal and did a very commendable job sight reading the viola parts. Unfortunately, he is now safely back in Wales so he won’t be able to repeat that or step up to second violin on Saturday at our next gig. Tonight, we found out that one of our regular members, Miranda, has broken her shoulder (bike accident, I think). That is awful news for her and also means that, after the joy of last night’s full string sound, we’ll probably be back to just one violin and my double bass for the string bit of the project.

I’ll post more about the gig (Reading way) tomorrow or Friday but, meanwhile, every sympathy to Miranda on the hard shoulder experience.
