It feels a bit like cheating every time I use another of my ongoing garden series to fill out my 52photos project but I’m still a bit behind so needs must… and the garden is constantly changing:

I have used a different view this time (click to view the full set), which highlights the sad evidence that our Humbug pear (Pyrus communis ‘Humbug’) has died. Normally it is the first of our pear trees to bud and bloom but it is doing nothing this year and it looks like the rootstock has died. Rather than balancing the pear on the other side of the polytunnel door, the poor thing (on the right) looks stuck in perpetual winter.
