I wonder how long it will take the scars of Aleppo to heal – assuming that theatre of the Syrian Civil War has reached a lasting peace? The BBC recently posted some haunting pictures of the city and you can find pre-war ones for contrast. I wonder how many years or decades it will take for the scars to heal?

And what about the ones inside people’s hearts and minds?
