I spent some time in the garden today, tidying up part of a pile of garden trimmings from a couple of months ago into firewood and compost fodder. As I often do for light garden tasks, I had just slipped on a pair of ‘croc’ type rubber shoes and my feet picked up that it was decidedly cold.

One of these days though, the sun will be back with its warming energy, which reminded me of a scientific development I noted last summer – inkjet printed solar cells. Perhaps one of these days a task for the winter will be to create some designs to print up to provide solar charging designs for outside use when brighter weather comes?
