Wardrobe Malfunction

It has been a busy weekend and I’ve still got a little further to run but I thought I would squeeze in a quick blog post. I was at the final farewell meal for Bruce Gillingham, rector of St Clement’s until the end of August this year, and his family last night and was helping out by playing a song with a small group. I think it would be fair to say that I’m one of the most in-demand double bassists at the church!

Bending over to shift some equipment during set up I heard a tearing sound and realised that a split had opened up in my trousers. Fortunately it was in a position that it wasn’t visible from front or rear although I had to be careful not to undertake any further strenuous movements during the evening. Time to replace that pair though and be glad that it wasn’t a more significant unexpected adjustment!
