This isn’t one of my projects but it is fascinating. I came across it recently on the DIY Photography website which was highlighting the work of artist Chris Bucklow. He uses pinholes pierced in aluminium foil to expose a large sheet of photographically sensitive paper, creating the image.
Even regarded just for the overall image, they are worth looking at. However, Bucklow has gone a bit deeper. Each tiny hole acts as a pinhole lens, so the picture is made up of tiny photographs of the sun. Furthermore, there are about 25,000 holes, so one sun for each day of a seventy year lifetime.
