My latest homebrew has reached a gravity of 1.018 at about 17.5°C. I think it has probably finished fermenting, judging by the lack of visible activity although I will need to give it another check tomorrow.
Based on Dave’s Dreaded Homebrew Calculator, this would give a final ABV figure of about 4.3%. I’m pleased it appears to have made it through the fermentation stage as temperature has been a problem. Tucking the fermenting vessel up with a fresh hot water bottle and swathing in blankets is not the epitome of scientific method when it comes to maintaining a steady temperature!
Anyway, almost time to get this one in the bottle.
