The traybake I made on Friday came out with lovely taste and texture but it was sadly slightly marred by one ingredient not in Mary Berry’s recipe. Somehow I didn’t notice that I put the food processor blade in with its plastic cover and only spotted the error part way through the mixing. I pulled out the obvious bits of shredded plastic but am still find my more as I eat the cake.

Tragically, that means I can’t share it with anyone but have to eat it all myself, picking out the occasional piece of plastic! More care next time though as, even without that additive, I think it will prove a great recipe.
