If my guitar cable had been where I expected it this morning, we would have been out of the door and on our way to church when the BT engineer called to fix our phone connection. Instead I was delayed with looking for it (discovered packed in the fr0nt pocket of a gig bag rather than in my FX case where it belongs) and so we had our connection restored before getting to church still in good time to set up for the service.
At least, I think it was a BT engineer; I didn’t seen wings or a halo! The line is certainly back to working order and all is well in the land of connectivity. I think there is a lesson there in not getting frustrated when nothing seems to go to plan; perhaps those plans are better off being delayed or changed.
