Among other tasks today has been getting ready for breakfast tomorrow. Breakfast is not normally a meal which takes a huge amount of preparation but the twist is that we have invited several of our neighbours to come and join us. How many will turn up remains to be seen. It might just be two or three turning up for a cup of tea but that will be okay. It is too easy to only have a nodding acquaintance with those who live around you (at least that seems the case in the place we live now and we also found it to be the same or worse in Lewisham) but we want to not only be able to put names to faces but also stories to those names, understanding those who live in the houses around us.

Just a little more baking to finish tonight and then a good night’s sleep as the final preparation.
