The weather has been unseasonal over the past few days, like those balmy summer days of April! I realised last night though that there is a clue that the year draws on that is not dependent on the temperature or the amount of sun. That is the relative length of the day and night. It might feel like midsummer (and we’ll probably have the fan on again tonight) but the sun is still setting at about half-past six and earlier every day.
