I’ve got two keyboards wired up to my Mac this morning because, for some reason, the space bar has stopped working on the Mac keyboard. I’ve taken it off and cleaned under the bar and also restarted the machine but all to no avail. I vaguely recall having a similar problem before but, even assisted by Google, can’t find any clues to help me remember the details.

It looks like it could be time for a new keyboard as I’ve had the existing one for three or four years, through which it has seen pretty hard use (although, to be honest, I’ve had other keyboards that have taken much more of a pounding and lived to tell the tale). I suspect it probably is a hardware issue as the second keyboard I have plugged in (borrowed from Jane’s machine) works perfectly.
