I am reminded at the moment of how different forms of exercise require different muscles. My bike is currently out of commission; it has problems with the bottom bracket, rear axle, brakes and more, which make it unsafe to ride. I have decided that, since repairs could cost more than what I paid for it and because I have proved to myself that I use a bike a lot round Oxford, it is worth upgrading to a new bike so there is a hiatus while I wait for the voucher that allows me to make a saving by purchasing it tax free through work and I am presently walking rather than riding up and down the hill each day.
I thought I’d got pretty fit with all the cycling I was doing but the front of my thighs are telling me otherwise!
