Rural Oxford

After a weekend of fairly dreary weather, Monday morning started with more of the same. However, not wanting to miss an opportunity, Jane and I decided to step out on a walk round some parts of Oxford that we hadn’t explored before.

The sun came out for some glorious warm weather by the end of the morning and we had the pleasure of being reminded just how rural Oxford is for a world-renowned city. After walking through town, we turned off onto the canal towpath heading north, across to Port Meadow and then back down to town along the Thames Path.

No photos from this one as I decided not to encumber myself with the camera so you will have to take it from me that walking with open eyes and ears was a delight (lunch afterwards, in The Grapes on George Street wasn’t too shabby either).
