I am not planning to turn this into a “pictures of food I have cooked” blog but could not resist showing you the steak and kidney pudding I rustled up last night.
I visited the local Co-op store for the first time and spotted a reduced tray of steak and kidney, which gave me the inspiration for what to took. Back home, I made the filling with the meat and took the opportunity to use up the carrots, mushroom and onion I had in the fridge.
I was particularly proud of the handmade pastry. I had to improvise for a rolling pin but it came out crisp and tasty (probably thanks to the egg used to bind it). Perhaps I’ll blog about something different tomorrow but you can all be assured that I’m eating well.
