Today is the next day of the rest of my life. That is true every day but this Monday morning makes me think on it more than many because I’m about to start on my final twenty five days in my present job before moving onto a new post with Oxford University, based in the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.
I have enjoyed eight creative and worthwhile years working as webmaster for Lewisham Hospital and hope to use my remaining time there to tidy things up and hand over the various projects I have developed with all the information needed to keep them running smoothly. At the same time, I will also be thinking about all the things I do outside of work as well and the minor matter of selling our flat and relocating to Oxford.
Daunting? A little but also exciting. It feels a bit like advent. I have even set up a calendar for myself with twenty five boxes to mark off the final leg. The difference is that I will be opening each door to see what treasure I can put down rather than what chocolate I can pick up!
