I came across a fascinating website yesterday that provides a 2D Driving Simulator based on Google Maps. It is very basic – for example, there is nothing to stop you driving in a straight line across buildings – but I did while away an entertaining ten minutes enjoying a top down view on a route from Central London to my front door (much faster than it could be done in real life).
