Yesterday’s rehearsal with The Pico Brown Five was a blast. We worked through lots of fresh charts covering a range of material from classics like Sweet Georgia Brown (at an exhilarating speed) to some more modern stuff by Joe Henderson like Inner Urge, with sonorous harmonies and switches of mood.

It was a good workout for ear, fingers and brain and leaves me with plenty to chew over in my practise time.
