Happy New Year – and not merely happy but worthwhile and meaningful, a year when you can see that you have taken steps forward in your life that you don’t regret.

Speaking of steps forward, later today will see the first walk as part of my Walking Hither Green project. I have put out an open invitation for people to join Jane and me at the old clock tower at 10am this morning for a short perambulation round the Meridian South development that sits on the site of the old Hither Green hospital.

If you live locally, you are welcome to join us and watch the blog for notice of future walks – by the end of the year I hope to have covered every road and path in the area at least once and to have played a part in weaving together local community.
