There are a couple of meetings taking place at Hither Green Baptist Church today, run by the local council. These are to provide the local community with an update on plans to invest money in regenerating and improving the area. Details can be found on the Hither Green Discussion Forum.

I am going to pop along to the evening meeting – I am keen to play a part in what I think will be a worthwhile project and a chance to make things better rather than just complaining about how they are getting worse.

My only gripe is that feedback was very poor following the previous meeting in March; despite signing up on a list that was circulated and emailing the named contact person after the event, there has been little sign of progress. I only found out about this meeting last week via the forum mentioned above. I hope there will be a faster, more comprehensive response this time or the project might not get started until the 22nd Century!
