Jane and I enjoyed a lovely weekend away, visiting family and friends around the East Midlands and parts of Yorkshire. The only thing that marred it was the final leg of the return journey, made overlong by the weight of traffic out on the roads. Still, on balance, I think it was more than worth it, although I am glad we don’t spend every weekend out visiting (and suffering, and contributing to, the overcrowded roads).
