Over the past week, I’ve been posting some of my favourite pictures from Flickr. If you are interested, you can see all of my favourites (and keep up to date with any new ones) by looking at that part of my Flickr Profile.

Looking back at the whole set and trying to characterise what appeals to me, I think most of them have bold colours and an abstract quality. I seem to pick images that have strong forms and perhaps, because of the scale (large target or a close up macro shot), are stripped of some of their original context. Sometimes you can tell what the target was and sometimes not but the forms are generally bold.

A final note on favourites to conclude the series – if you like the pictures by any of the photographers featured in my collection you can probably find more that appeal by looking at their favourites – and so on, almost ad infinitum
