I tried an interesting wine this week, a Greek Kourtaki. I’ve had Retsina before, a resinous white, and was wondering if this red would be similar. Actually, the main similarity was that it’s nothing like any other wines I’ve ever tasted(including the Retsina). It’s more like a strong sherry than anything – not an unpleasant taste, although I feel the label is probably about right on this one and it is best suited as an aperitif or dessert drink (although, to be sure, I tried it with everything).
