As well as the photo I shared yesterday, I came back with another rose from my trip to RHS Rosemoor. The challenge with this one was photographing such a rich red. Even here, although the result is sumptuous, I’m not sure it quite reflects what I saw. Such an intense colour can overwhelm the camera’s sensor and, in the post-processing stage, I had to balance reining back the intensity (measured in RGB values) against maintaining the visual intensity of the flower itself.
