Jane was doing some tidying the other day and wanted my collection of corks (always a useful material to have a small supply of) moved out of the kitchen. I decided to print a container using a design I found on Makerworld.com.
The design uses ‘vase mode’, which prints each part in a single continuous layer. You sacrifice some strength but gain in terms of speed and lowering the amount of material used. I picked my recently acquired Sunlu “Translucent Orange” for the body, so I can see the contents through the walls, and Sunlu “Brass” as a complementary but opaque colour for the top.
I was also interested to find that I couldn’t mention the brand name Sunlu when posting my rating of the print on the Makerworld website. Apparently Bambulab feel that it constitutes “sensitive” information! Fortunately they haven’t prevented other brands of filament from working in their printers.
