If you use Wikipedia as a guide to colour naming, I’m not far off with the tawny nature of my Oxxxford Tawny homebrew.

It has reached the point where it makes good drinking, about three weeks after it was bottled. It is also wonderfully clear and has a good flavour – not the most amazing beer I’ve ever tasted but into the region of not being a poor substitute for a commercial brew.
