I’ve made a start on the holiday snaps with this picture of the amazing foxglove trees (Paulownia tormentosa) that decorate St Peter’s Square:

It seems that April is a good time to catch them in flower and the purple blossoms make a beautiful contrast with the yellow livery of the Manchester trams.
