The shortest day for 2022 is a week away but my Shortest Day beer has made it into the bottle. The brew ended up at a final gravity of 1.011, suggesting an ABV level of about 5.5%, right in the ball park of the original recipe. I’m not sure it will be fully ready for Christmas but I’ve got some of the previous batch still available.
I think it is a bit too close to Christmas disruption to start another batch now but I’ll try not to leave it too far into the New Year. Ideally I’d have enough laid in by late spring (when temperatures are likely to rise above my target) to see me through until October or so, particularly since I seem to have got my brewing mojo back with a couple of decent batches under my belt.
