The Taste of Autumn Flowers

I sampled the first bottle of my Autumn Flowers brew today. The last two bottles I ran off had a bit of sediment in so I capped them in a different colour from the main batch and it was one of those I tried. I was pleased to find that it didn’t gush up when I opened it and the first pour was a lovely, clear beer. To be critical, it was probably a bit under-carbonated but, now that I seem to have the basics back under control, I can up the bottling sugar up a bit.

It is such a long time since I last had Flowers on draught (and never, as far as I can recall, in a commercial bottle) that I don’t know if it was a good clone but it was a decent beer. The second pour was cloudier and I think that will be the case too with the second bonus bottle but the rest, bottled before I got near the sediment line, should be even better for a full glass.

Time soon to get another brew on.
