If Jane and I had finished putting the netting on the completed veg cage at the same time next Friday, we would have been working in the dark! As it was, we got to head home in the sunset.
Unless there are big holes in it next time I go up to the allotment, I’ll be able to remove all the internal cages and start laying out the internal arrangement. I’m also planning to protect the lower portion with some chicken wire to dissuade the foxes and badgers which are rumoured to roam the site at night (and which may be responsible for the bits of digging I have noted.
Next project – relocate the polytunnel frame from the back garden to act as a fruit cage frame for soft fruit bushes.
