Although I’ve done a lot of brewing before, I think the the cider I started yesterday is the first one I’ve done in a demijohn with a bubbler valve attached. It was fascinating to come downstairs this morning and see not only visible signs of fermentation but also bubbles (escaping CO2) going through the valve. All under control and a good sign that the yeast is doing its work.
