It is still hot today – the house thermostat reads 29°C and I’m sure it is warmer still upstairs where I’m typing this. However, with today’s post about summer I was thinking of this large sculpture from RHS Harlow Carr, based on Guiseppe Arcimboldo’s painting ‘Summer’:


I’m not sure who the sculptor is but, rendered at 15-20′ high, it makes for an impressive piece of art and one that is highly fitting for such a garden. I’ve now got all the photos I took from the day online (don’t worry – only a handful… I’m less trigger happy than I used to be and I’ve only selected the best shots from those I took): RHS Harlow Carr – 16 July 2021.
