This is a little ‘bug house’ or ‘bug hotel’ that I took a photo of a couple of years ago. Looking back at the painting, which I did earlier today, I can see a few things that could potentially be worked on to give a better sense of the materials – brick and wood – and the what the shapes fitted together in three dimensions.

It is what it is though and I enjoyed painting it. Time enough for a new subject tomorrow.
