I ended up spending a lot longer than planned on audio and video production today so had to snatch an opportunity do today’s watercolour painting while cooking dinner.
Food was a risotto, for which the important ratio to remember is 3 parts stock to 1 part rice. I didn’t have a huge amount of rice left so, rather than end up with less than enough to make a single portion, I watered my stock down a bit. The ratio is about liquid to rice and there was still plenty of flavour.
The painting was done before I added the sliced meat and red peppers so I was able to dip into the existing paint on my palette – mainly colours used in the last few days (including lemon yellow with a hint of violet for the olive green inside the pan) and a mystery brown (mixed but I’m not entirely sure from what) in the top right.
