A Tinge of Gold

Yesterday, I put some simple labels on the bottles of my Autumn Tinge brew and, as I normally do (particularly if there is a bottle that seems more heavily sedimented than the others), I opened one of them to see how it was doing.

It isn’t quite as tinged with orange as I had expected from the colour going into the bottles last week but it does have a rich golden tone, which can be seen on many trees at this time of year, so I don’t think the name is inappropriate. Meanwhile, it has already reached a good level of carbonation and the flavour is great. It has some malt in the body and a good hop bitterness (perhaps due to the Magnum hops, which I’ve not used before).

None of this autumn’s brews have been bad but I think this one might be the best so far this season.
