Last night’s Sanctified event went very well. A lot was down to the other musicians and the choir and, of course, the congregation who joined us. It was great to join together and meet God through some classic gospel-blues worship songs. A little credit must go though to the new bit of wood helping out my double bass.
A while ago, the rubber stopper on my end pin started to fall apart and it is now pretty much gone, despite several repairs. Yesterday morning I got up early and used a drill to put holes in a bit of wood to provide a foundation for the bass and protect the floor from being damaged by the point of the metal pin.
Seems to have worked well; I look forward to seeing how it holds up over time.
