My metric of good weather is rather selfish and very garden centric: I enjoy warm, sunny weather as long as I’ve got a decent supply of rainwater in my water butts and dustbins.

After the intense temperatures earlier this week, I’m delighted that we’ve had some precipitation this weekend. All the bins in the back garden are full and, after I’ve given the polytunnel a good water tomorrow morning, I hope I’ll still have fairly full butts into the week going forward.
