No watercolour painting today! What I need to do in a moment is pack up my double bass and other gear and start heading out for this afternoon’s gig at The Brewery Tap in Abingdon. Apparently, Mudslide Morris and the Acoustic Revelators are definitely on even though the pub website persists in saying it will be a group called Cat ‘n’ Fiddle. We are due to play between 5 and 7pm which I think puts us just after the end of the Spain / Russia game and just before the Croatia / Denmark one. We’ll see if that is good for getting a crowd although I imagine we’ll steer away from all Spanish, Russian, Croatian and Danish songs just to stay safe!

Okay, that and the fact we don’t know any. Sweet Home Alhambra anyone?
