Still Wet

Today’s watercolour experiment:

Watercolour painting

Still Wet

I used an oversized brush and some wells of paint that needed using up on my palette. Critical about understanding this photo of the painting is that it is still wet – not just damp but with glossy pools of water on the surface. It is hard to tell from this angle but I can certainly see them as a glance across at where the page sits on my work table. When I come home this evening, I expect the paint will have moved further and the image will be different. Tomorrow’s piece may be this one again but in the state it arrives at as it has dried or, depending on time and inspiration, after I have added a further layer based on the patterns I see in it.
