I have recently been experimenting with a water brush (a hollow handle filled with water which feeds the brush) for watercolours – it is what I used for the two sketches I posted on Friday. However, I realised I could also use to add tonal areas to my pen based sketches, since the ink I am presently using isn’t waterproof.

I’m quite pleased with the results – certainly an approach I want to develop in future.
