You may recognise this as being related to the watercolour I posted yesterday – it is one of the ‘blind drawing’ exercises I described. I think this one has much more energy. Where possible, I’d rather do the sketch straight onto the paper (or perhaps find a means of trying to mechanically copy it) instead of trying to draw from the drawing. Trying to create a fresh drawing of the drawing could work but I thought my attempt to copy was duller and lost some of the virtues of the original.
