This afternoon’s edition of the Information Security talk I’ve been delivering around my department started with an unexpected opportunity to demonstrate the value of a backup plan. For some reason, my Mac was having a problem closing down one of the programs that had been running and so I ended up using the computer in the room, downloading a copy of slides from the internal site I’d put them for people to refer to after the talk.
Nothing like a fresh example to kick things off with – and I’m glad I could demonstrate not just a problem but also effective contingency planning!
