I’ve got two outdoor gigs this weekend. Current forecasts suggest it will stay dry but be cloudy and not overpoweringly hot, which is great, although I’ve been monitoring the forecasts for the last few days and they haven’t been entirely consistent. I’ll be able to tell you more accurately tomorrow afternoon!

If you visit the Drayton St Leonard fete this afternoon (South Oxfordshire, 1pm – 4pm) and hear strains of jazz, that’s me doing a set along with guitar, sax and vocals. It’s a village fete so not the height of the showbiz year but, based on doing the same slot last year, a pleasant afternoon and plenty of parking down there, too.

Tomorrow morning, I’m out again with The String Project for the Cowley Road Carnival. We’re playing the City Arms stage again this year, from 11:45am – 12:15pm. That is a slightly earlier slot than last year but is ideal if you want to come and see the band and then get in place for the main procession, which begins down the opposite end of Cowley Road at 12:30pm.

For either of these events, you can just turn up – if you are passing by, give me a wave.
