Today, I moved my Wheat Lightning brew into the larder, where it can cool down a bit and finish conditioning. However, I took an opportunity to try a sample and was pleased with the result. The beer has decent carbonation and good head retention, doubtless aided by the high dose of wheat malt. The colour is pale gold and very clear. Flavourwise, I think it is still settling but it has a sweet start but quite a bitter kick – what would be described as a hop-forward beer.
I think this one is going to be very nice on hot summer days.
