My Red Shilling beer is now bottled. I have to admit that the colour isn’t quite as red as I had expected. Perhaps I should drop in some black malt next time to darken it? However, I’ll see what happens over fermentation before I make my final judgement on whether it should be called red shilling or fairly orange shilling.

Regardless of the colour, the taste was promising so I am looking forward to trying it.
