Jazz fans can look away now – this post isn’t anything to do with Dizzy Gillespie’s track of the same name. However, if instead (or also) you’re a reader who enjoys crime fiction hold on.
William Shaw isn’t an author I’ve read before but I’ve just finished The Birdwatcher (2016) but I think I’ll be going back for more even though this book wasn’t part of a series. I do like a good series but there is also something about style too. Some authors manage to tell a story but others achieve that while also weaving their words to evoke an atmosphere; Shaw joins that list of authors whose work I will actively look for on my jaunts to local libraries.
