I know it is more often ‘hear, hear’ but I only had one ear syringed out in the end. I hadn’t been putting any olive oil or drops in the other one to soften things up so the nurse asked me to pop back next week for part two. However, it is definitely a vast improvement over what it has felt like for the last couple of weeks. I’ll get the other one sorted out for the full ‘hear, hear’ experience and then I think I’ll try and get into the habit of a little preventative oiling every two or three weeks just to keep the natural processes moving along safely.
Hurrah for a society where I can just book an appointment and get a simple problem sorted without having to worry about details like paying the bill. Hurrah for an NHS which is free at the point of need, whether relatively minor like I’ve been experiencing or a lot more serious.
